Roy Moore and More and More

November 14, 2017 by tornado Leave a Comment

Pedophilia, rape, statutory rape, sexual abuse, and sexual coercion of any sort (whether on the job or otherwise) are wrong, and evil…period. No ambiguities or “what ifs” exist there. I should not have to state the obvious, but there it is — and most definitely not in response to any demands for such a statement. It is simply a fundamental truth of my Christian, sociopolitically conservative worldview.

The standard should be no different for any actors, celebrities, public officials, or politicians — whether with a label of D or R. It doesn’t matter of the sexual miscreant is Roy Moore, Harvey Weinstein, or Bill Clinton. If he is guilty, he shouldn’t be kept in a position of authority in the private sector, nor elected to public office. If they are guilty, they should go to jail too; alas, for Moore’s case, the legal statute of limitations long since has expired for his accused acts in Alabama.

Ted Cruz had the best response I’ve seen from any of the politicians, so far:

“One of two things should happen: If these allegations are true, Judge Moore should drop out now. Today. The people of Alabama deserve to have the option of voting for a strong conservative who has not committed criminal conduct. Or two, if these allegations are not true, then Judge Moore needs to come forward with a strong, persuasive rebuttal demonstrating that they are untrue.”

Both last week and this week, there are serious charges of criminal conduct that if true, not only make him unfit to serve in the Senate but merit criminal prosecution. Judge Moore, like any American, is entitled to present a defense. He’s entitled to put forth the facts demonstrating that the charges are not true, but as it stands, I can’t urge the people of Alabama to support a campaign in the face of these charges without serious, persuasive demonstration that the charges are not true.”

Yes, the timing is suspicious — right after the Alabama Republican primary and not before…why? A valid question! Still, given the detailed allegations at hand, and their apparent credibility, from the large variety of people making them who do not know each other, Moore should step down and make room for a conservative candidate without such a shadow overhead, as Cruz also has stated.

What I do mind here is the hypocrisy on the left, as Matt Walsh so forcefully elucidates in a recent essay:

“Bill Clinton, who held a position far more powerful than Senator from Alabama, was credibly accused of rape by Juanita Broaddrick. Right around the time that Roy Moore was allegedly seducing teenage girls, Bill Clinton was allegedly pinning Broaddrick down on his hotel bed, biting her lip to keep her from screaming for help, and brutally raping her. And Clinton’s alleged predatory behavior didn’t stop once he reached the White House. While there, allegedly, he sexually assaulted Kathleen Willey, kissing her without consent and forcing her hand onto his erect p___s. [Partly edited to avert bot censors.] He also exposed himself to Paula Jones shortly before becoming president, allegedly. Yet he was made president, and then made president again, and then liberals tried to put him back in the White House last year by electing his wife, who allegedly led the campaign to silence and discredit her husband’s victims.”

The left’s (and much of the right’s ) outrage at the Moore allegations is justified. Now where was the left’s outrage at this behavior from one of their own? I believe Juanita Broaddrick. When was the last time you saw anyone on the left say that? Very telling…

As for the right, any preachers or conservatives who are defending Moore at this time are terribly misguided and not living up to moral righteousness demanded of us. They should stop doing so, repent, and seek forgiveness immediately. Moreover, as with many who preceded them, they are unwittingly feeding the Beast — Satan, that is, who plays the long game. Satan has planted pedophiles and other sexual miscreants within the Church for hundreds of years (whether lay or priest) in an attempt to divide and conquer. I can see right through Satan’s anti-Christian tactics in this regard, and they continue today. Case in point:

The red label is mine. [Yes, a Christian can use the word “bullshit”. I just did. Sue me.] The claim that Christians “own this” is absurd, of course, in light of the facts that
1) Pedophilia violates the Christian worldview at least as much as it does the so-called “11 rules” claimed there, [as if “rules” alone stop sin anyway, hah!]
2) It long predates Christianity, which doesn’t “own” any sin. In fact, Jesus, when truly followed in deed as well as word, frees from all sin. This is where the laughable ignorance of Satan and his “church” comes into play.
3) Such conduct is worldwide, and exists among self-proclaimed followers of every faith or no faith at all; as noted below, “this stuff is everywhere”.

Yes, pedophilia and rape have been going on for thousands of years. So have other ghastly behaviors that fall outside God’s firm, unambiguous, monogamous, husband-wife-only sexual prescription, such as: adultery, promiscuity, bestiality, homosexuality, self-mutilation (e.g., sex “change”), pornography and related exploitations, Islamic genital mutilation of girls, ancient Chinese gelding of boys, and many more. While forced acts are evil, even “consent” is not particularly relevant. Consent to commit sin doesn’t eliminate the fact of sin. Consensual deviancy still is evil — and a more insidious form, in that it is evil disguised as “love” — another part of Satan’s plan. So spare me the “consensual” argument; it is irrelevant in the big picture. Wrong is wrong is wrong, even when the act of wrong is mutually agreed.

Yet a lot of sexual misdeeds are coming out of the woodwork in this era of instant publicity and social media. As Matt Walsh also elaborates bluntly in a different essay, when we throw aside societal mores against sexual deviancy, what else should we expect?

This stuff is everywhere. It really can’t be broken down on political, or religious, or even gender grounds. Men seem more likely to be the abuser, but the problem is not exclusive to them. Though we tend to brush these kinds of cases to the side, the fact remains that an enormous number of female teachers have been found guilty of sexually harassing or assaulting their pubescent male students. Any attempt to place the blame on one particular group falls apart. The crisis it too widespread. It encompasses too many different types of people. It has leaked into too many corners of our society.

It appears that there’s a serious problem with our culture as a whole. Of course, the first problem with our culture is the same with every culture: we are a fallen and sinful species. But our fallen and sinful nature seems to be manifesting itself more and more in the form of degeneracy and sexual predation. Why?

I know why. Christian worldviews, when truly and authentically lived, do not endorse nor commit these sins! The Christian worldview is being abandoned more and more, every year, all the time. All who do such deeds, and who claim to be Christian regardless, are deeply broken people who so desperately need the Lord’s grace, forgiveness and redemption, and need to return to Jesus far more than to have any public political office or Hollywood job.

Now Do You Believe Left-wing Hate is Real?

June 15, 2017 by tornado Leave a Comment

Yesterday’s shooting at a Congressional baseball practice, aimed specifically at Republicans, finally should bring to the forefront the real phenomenon of left-wing hatred and violence. Not only that, but so should certain reactions to it.

Scan the social-media feeds of your left-wing friends yesterday and you’ll find this sort of expression commonly.

Do you see the psychological tactic at work there? Do not fall for it. I won’t. The reason is that you won’t see it from the very same people’s feeds after the Dylan Roof or Gabby Giffords incidents. The reason is that they want to use emotionally manipulative statements such as the above, only after evil acts by fellow left-wingers, in order to stifle balanced discussion and keep it imbalanced — toward the left’s portrayal of its own victimhood, of course.

In reality, the left is intensely hypocritical when it accuses conservatives of all manner of ugly complicity in bad deeds committed by the “right wing”. Then when fellow leftists riot (Ferguson, Baltimore or Portland anyone?), attack others at political rallies (San Jose anyone?) run GOP politicians of the road (Wendi Wright in Tennessee), and commit other horrible crimes (e.g., yesterday in suburban Virginia, firebombing of the North Carolina GOP office, shooting at Family Research Council by a “gay rights” supporter), the same faction turns around and tries to shush discussion of such acts in the name of “unity” and preventing “division”. Stop it. I’m not going to let you get away with having your cake and eating it too. I have been around, and can see through those mind games like a pane of glass.

The above sort of faux-conciliatory pandering is not a coincidence. With some welcomed and unusual exceptions, the left wing does not want you to know, nor discuss, evil committed by its own. So tonight, I’ll help to take up that role of being informative of what you need to see about how the world works.

If you have sensitive eyes and don’t like seeing people express profane and ugly things toward others, please stop now and put your head firmly back in the sand. Maybe dream of fuzzy bunnies and unicorns crapping Skittles.

Now the rest of us proceed with reality, and boys and girls: the reality that evil exists — including plenty arising from the sociopolitical left, and I am about to prove this. There is no need to show right-wing examples because they are are so quickly and loudly brought to bear in mass media; instead, this is a skeletal and meager attempt to balance it out with a ridiculously tiny sampling from the other side. Then don’t forget to read my disclaimers and closing statements at the bottom.

===============

Unfortunately, scanning the feeds yesterday reveals more examples than I could count of explicit hate and even condoning of violence toward the right. Here is but one example — a thinly disguised, passive-aggressive call from a Huffington Post writer for the left to murder conservatives:

————–

That, from the same violence advocate and hatemonger who penned the following, a screen-capture of something to which I will not link directly.

————–

————–

When a reasonable left-winger (yes, I am acknowledging they exist!) tries to correct his evil-spewing comrades, this is a remarkably honest (if still hateful) response. At least we know exactly where he stands; it’s the dishonest ones and fakers you really have to watch.

————–

Such advocacy of violence surely does not adhere to Martin Luther King Jr.’s relatively recent teachings regarding nonviolence, not to principles espoused before that by Jesus and M. Gandhi. More, from 2016:

————–

This isn’t a hate tweet, but documents plenty of it from the left. [Understand that anti-conservative venom and violence and censorship at universities is not limited to Berkeley either.]

————–

Consider a few out of hundreds or more hate tweets directed at Antonin Scalia after his death:

————–

Not only is this left-wing expression hateful personally, but blatantly racist:

————–

Speaking of hate directed at racial-minority conservatives, look what happened to Mia Love’s Wikipedia page several years ago…so much for “tolerance” and “inclusion”:

————–

Former First Lady Nancy Reagan’s death even brought forth the liberal hate — much of it from people who weren’t even old enough to remember her directly. How did their minds get filled with this awful poison? Who educated them that such hate was okay?

————–

Twitchy documented many hate tweets and death threats against the 2012 Republican presidential candidate, some of which still haven’t been removed by Twitter.

————–

Remember a year ago when a boy fell into a gorilla enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo? Left-wing animal worshipers couldn’t wait to spew the venom.

===============

These are far from “isolated” or “unrepresentative” incidents either. Do you want more, from these and innumerable other news events? I could have posted countless many; you can find them if you try, and it is not difficult. One easily could look back through public-facing social-media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.), and find thousands — thousands! — out of far, far more, of such despicable left-wing hate speech and threats.

DISCLAIMER 1: Again, this is not to deny similar vitriol exists elsewhere on the ideological spectrum, nor to “score points”, so don’t falsely portray this as such. Regardless, right-wing hate will be publicized readily, whereas left-wing hate is less-advertised unless an incident as seemingly shocking as yesterday’s forces it to the front page. Therefore I simply show you examples, in the name of bringing balance to the discussion that needs to be had. Leftist evil is real. If you still don’t believe in leftist evil, ask the relatives of the tens of millions of victims of Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot. Leftist ideologies led to the deaths of more people in the 20th century than any others (more even than the comparably evil-minded ideals of Fascism or extreme Islam!), and it’s not even close. It’s not over either; consider the wreckage of Venezuela and the human-rights horrors in North Korea and Cuba.

DISCLAIMER 2: For the record, I am not contributing to division. No, the division is already there. I am simply bearing witness to it, showing it to you — the same as if a huge crocodile were stalking you at the riverside and I made you turn around to see it. That is not the same as causing the crocodile, and this isn’t the same as “contributing to the problem”. What you do with this newfound knowledge is your responsibility and yours alone — not mine. I categorically reject any form of blame for others’ chosen behavior, so don’t waste your time trying. Instead, face the reality above, accept that it is real, then set about doing something about it. Or that crocodile of evil thought will eat more and more of us…

MOTIVATION: In order to bring light into darkness, you need to know that the darkness exists, and have some idea of how dark it is. If you have a conscience, yet only saw evil on the right and not on the left, you are enlightened now regarding the left’s capacity for evil. If you do not have such a conscience, then all I can say is: reasoning with psychopathy is beyond my pay grade. Seek help, for the sake of us all.

Yes, I love my neighbor. Sometimes that means tough love. So, digital neighbor, that is what I have given you here: a small peek into the reality of brokenness and sin as it stands today, and as such, a dose of tough love.

Is all hopeless? Not at all! Please be assured by this: the only eternal and unyielding Light, the only one who can totally and permanently overcome hate from all sides, is our Lord and Savior, Jesus. He can and will protect and forge you in the face of evil, give you the strength and courage to acknowledge it and stare it down, and back you up in the struggle against it, every step of the way. Start from there, proceed, and you will be on the right track. Or try to ignore or go it alone in futility. That is your God-given, free-will choice.

A Poem of Hopes and Dreams…

April 25, 2014 by tornado Leave a Comment

Tonight I offer you a poem about hopes and dreams…

========================

    Safe Slumber
    by Debra Hurst

      Gently floating away to sleep
      Safely slumbering, resting with peace
      The most innocent of dreams
      Sweetly developing in my mind.

      While in my slumbering rest
I can swim as much as I like
      I know not fear
      I’m safe, protected, at peace.

      I often hear voices
      Sweet sounds of music
      Some really loud
      Some soft

There are people waiting for me
      Waiting for my birth.
I have all my fingers and toes
      I’m ready to play.

Something is thumping at my foot
      Something cold has my legs
They are being pulled from behind
Is it time to be born?

Wow I feel a different world
      No water, no more floating
      I think I’m almost out
      I’m on my way.

      Oh, that hurt, not right
Something hurt at the back of my head
Something sharp pushed through my brain.

========================

…hopes and dreams destroyed by every “partial-birth” and “late-term” abortion.

[Thanks, Deb, for letting me reproduce your poem here.]

We live in world where unborn victims of Canadian infanticide have been shipped to Oregon for the electricity that their roasted little bodies can provide. We live in a world where Kermit Gosnell ran a human slaughterhouse under the name of “family planning”, with horrors too numerous and gruesome to repeat here. Want more? Look at these images of aborted babies, if you dare. How much more twisted and evil can the whole abortion situation get? How many more innocents will be sacrificed to the idol of selfishness (encompassing convenience, lust and promiscuity)?

If there’s any consolation in the genocide of tens of millions of unborn infants that was unleashed by Roe v. Wade, and perpetuated yearly by hundreds of thousands of individual males and females who refuse to exercise personal responsibility through sexual self-control, it’s that those innocent souls will go straight into the eternal grace of our Lord, who someday shall judge their killers.

Nonetheless, here on Earth, those of us who care enough will mourn the dead we never could know. How many great scientists, artists, ministers, authors, astronauts, sports stars, doctors, executives, and yes, community organizers and activists, have never seen the light of day because they were aborted? Could one of them have found the cure for cancers, AIDS, MS, MD, ALS, herpes, bipolar disorder, Alzheimers disease, schizophrenia, or the common cold? Who among them may have solved the riddles of autism or led the way to sight for the blind? The agent or detective who would have thwarted a deadly act of terrorism? The future President who would have found a way to get a true peace treaty forged across the Middle East?

What amazing things may have been discovered by those souls who never had bodies outside the womb, or by one of their own children or grandchildren who never can exist? Could one of those babies aborted in the ’70s, ’80s or ’90s have been the right friend to help you with your worst troubles today, or the right spouse for the lonely, the right counselor for the broken, or the Good Samaritan who could have saved a loved one killed in a crash? What amazing accomplishments and everyday relationships never can happen because the difference-maker was aborted?

My God, what have we lost?

@McWeather1989 @DrShepherd2013 Cowboys built where Rangers were. Jerry actually tried to get his football palace built on the old/abandoned Reunion Arena slab in downtown Dallas, but then-mayor Laura Miller rejected it. So...to Arlington it was. Arlington itself had a 2020 population of 394,266.
