Convective Towers beyond Shadowed Mammatus

2 W of Vici, OK; 19 May 2012

Short animation of tripodded still imagery.
Use the controls above the images to stop, start, step forward and backward, and change loop speed. Shove the speed bar all the way to the right for fastest animation.

Direction of view is NNE. Image interval is 10 seconds at 40 images (400 seconds). Time lapse is slightly underexposed in order to maintain texture of brightly sunlit convective plume. You're looking out from beneath a spreading, mammatus-festooned anvil produced by an a separate storm to the W. This movie therefore offers a look at evolution of both upright convection and downshear mammatus processes. This was my second attempt at DSLR time-lapse shooting; the improvement continues...still some "tweeking" to do.
